Kathryn (Kate) Collins
Director and Senior International Consultant

Kate joined Angas Travel in 1991 after completing the AFTA Travel course and the TAFE Certificate in Travel and Tourism. While at Angas Travel, Kate has seen many changes in the travel industry and thoroughly enjoyed the journey. In 2009, Kate, along with Jackie Male, took over Angas Travel and has steadily gained confidence and expertise in the management side of the business. However, she has never lost sight of what she enjoys most and what’s vital for a travel agency — sharing the joy of travel. Kate has travelled extensively, by air, car, 4WD, bike, big boats and little boats, and never tires of travelling to new destinations and revisiting old favourites.

Jackie Male
Director and School Group & Music Tour Specialist

Jackie brings decades of experience and a lifelong love of travel to her role as a specialist in school group tours, with a particular focus on music and performance-based travel. She has worked closely with educators to design carefully tailored itineraries that enrich students’ learning and foster unforgettable experiences abroad. From choir and band tours through Europe to cross-cultural exchanges and educational journeys, Jackie ensures every trip is engaging, well-organised, and truly memorable. Her favourite destinations include France, England, South Africa, and Italy — with recent travels taking her to Türkiye, Sicily, and Hungary.

With a strong foundation in creative and operational roles, Heidi brings a diverse background to Angas Travel, with experience in the film industry, aged care, and now educational travel. She supports student groups on their journeys while overseeing the marketing side of the travel business. With a talent for both organization and creativity, Heidi helps make every tour a memorable and enriching experience.

A passionate traveller, Heidi is especially drawn to Asia—favouring the vibrant cultures of Japan and the stunning islands in the Philippines. Her experiences across industries and continents contribute to a rich, well-rounded perspective in everything she does.

Katrina “Kat” Cruz joins Angas Travel as an International Travel Consultant working remotely from Manila, Philippines. With over 19 years of experience in the travel industry, Kat brings a wealth of knowledge, passion, and a strong customer-first mindset to the team. Her career has taken her across various aspects of travel, and she thrives on helping clients turn their dream trips into reality. When it comes to favourite destinations, Boracay in her home country and Kyoto, Japan top the list.

Margaret Seears has been part of the Angas Travel team since 1988. Before her travel career, Margaret was a midwife at the Queen Victoria Hospital. So, when Angas Travel moved to new premises on Fullarton Road from Angas Street, it was very familiar territory. Margaret has a wealth of industry knowledge and has travelled extensively, listing New York, Paris, France, South America and Africa as some of her favourite places. A meticulous planner, Margaret ensures her clients have a hassle-free and memorable experience. These skills and her passion for travel keep her clients returning and referring their friends and family.

With a strong passion for travel, Karen has explored many corners of the globe—her favourite destinations include Italy and Greece, where she enjoys the rich culture, history, and cuisine.
