Inspiring musical experiences beyond the classroom

back to blog.

When planning an educational school trip for students, the objective of our international tour itineraries is to provide students with an opportunity to appreciate and connect with different cultures and inspire growing minds in exciting new ways.

As a leader and specialist in school group tours, Angas Travel understands that the idea of executing the perfect educational tour abroad can be overwhelming, requiring meticulous planning and organisation. We also know that a specifically catered school tour can extend knowledge and supplement the curriculum, providing an opportunity to discover first-hand invaluable experiences and outcomes.

Our itineraries feature performances in unique venues across Europe and include themed-guided tours of relevant music destinations, attendance at shows and learning activities linked to the curriculum, workshops with professionals plus time to explore some of Europe’s most beautiful cities and iconic sites!

With Jackie and her team, and their incredible local connections they have overseas, it’s opened many doors for us to be able to have opportunities that we would never have dreamed had we not used Angas Travel.”

Largely experienced in organising educational tours throughout Europe, our team at Angas Travel has been able to secure invaluable contacts at each destination. This allows our school groups incredible opportunities to excel and extend their repertoire in stunning performance venues, whilst building friendships and encouraging teamwork through their enjoyment of music.
There are many tour options on offer, and we will work collaboratively with you to ensure an itinerary is designed to meet your group’s specific requirements. Examples:

  • Music-focused tours to France and Belgium may include an emphasis on humanities and exploration of WW1 and WW2 history, with performances in venues that include the Arc de Triomphe in Paris, concerts in small towns across the Somme, and the Last Post Ceremony at Ypres with visits to many of the sites included in the Australian Trail of Remembrance, including the Sir John Monash Centre. https://www.angastravel.com.au/an-emotional-trip-to-the-western-front/
  • Attendance at one of the many European Festivals, eg., the Bratislava Youth Festival that could commence with a musical performance in Vienna, travelling on to Bratislava for the festival before travelling to Italy with sightseeing and concerts in Venice, Verona, Montecatini Terme and Rome.

Whatever the destination, primarily music is the vehicle in Europe to visit beautiful cities and towns, connecting with local communities and providing opportunities to collaborate with like-minded musicians.
