THE PERFORMING ARTS
Many secondary schools in Australia with sophisticated
musical education programs like to give their Years 8 – 12 students an
opportunity of performing overseas and living as part of a musical
orchestral or band group for at least two weeks with almost daily
rehearsals and concert performances in different parts of Europe. In
conjunction with Musica Italia and also other European concert
organisers, PCI is able to offer a wide range of orchestral and other
musical tours either with or without a supporting choir. Features of
these tours are:
• The opportunity to perform in some incredibly beautiful
churches and other venues.
• The opportunity of playing in front of relatively large
audiences, mixing music and sightseeing in such a way that enables young
people to enjoy both European culture and at the same time make great
progress with their orchestral skills.
• Particularly in Italy but to a lesser degree in other
countries, our wide range of contacts enables us to open doors that
would otherwise be closed to all but senior orchestras.
• So that schools, orchestras and bands and special
interest groups can plan their tours with confidence, PCI is always able
to give a fixed turn-key cost of a tour twelve months ahead of the
departure date.
What our clients think
"We were amazed by
the quality and profile of the performances PCI/ATA had been able to organise
... their professionalism is unmatched in this country .. and I would recommend
them highly". Nick Mulder
-Director of Music - St Peter's College, Adelaide
"Throughout the past
three international tours our large school contingent has found Angas Travel
meticulous in their organisation of every aspect of the tour. As a school
Principal it is critical that there is absolute confidence in the arrangements
being made an any overseas excursion. The safely of each participant is
paramount and can only be assured with meticulous organisation of every instant.
Our experience has been totally positive as we have always found Angas Travel to
be helpful, reactive to our needs, flexible to our requests and always focussed
on providing the very best outcomes for the experience of a lifetime for each
student." Robyn White -
Principal Perth Modern School
"About 20 students
assembled half way up the tower where they commenced singing our Australiana
repertoire. It was at that instant that I felt the presence of all these Aussie
Soldiers. I have no doubt and nor do the students, that these fallen men
could hear our singing and were loving every minute of it. The sound was
breathtaking and the emotion and spiritual connection was unforgettable".
