Every year on ANZAC Day, memorial services are
held, and at the biggest of these at Villers-Bretonneux—the
French and British pay their respects to their fallen
brothers in arms from Australia.
PCI/ATA have been appointed as the
Department of
Veterans Affairs agent to invite nominations from orchestras,
bands & choirs to be the official musical group for the annual
ANZAC Day services in Villers-Bretonneux
for the years
2012-2014 inclusive.
If your group is interested in nominating to represent
Australia in these commemorative services & would like further
information, please contact Ms Jackie Male at
groups@angastravel.com.au
The selected group is
usually also invited to perform at the
community ceremonies in Villers-Bretonneux
and Bullecourt. The Anzac Day
ceremonies are only one element of musical tours
arranged by
Angas Travel for bands and choirs.
Other elements include concerts and other
performances in the Somme area, Flanders and
in Paris.
